Guestbook Issues

I am having a little trouble. I have installed the guestbook 1.7.1 and after adding a new entry it says


Guestbook Entry Result: Following Message was added to the Guestbook on Tue 01/9/07 12:05AM


Your Name: someone
Your Email: someone@somewhere.com
Your Message: testing again



Your Addition to the Guestbook could not be processed at this time. Please try again in a few minutes.

Did you give the data directory files CHMOD 777 permission (read, write and execute permission)?

That is affirmative, i have given the Data folder 777 permissions and the remaining files and folders 666 permissions. i use 3D-FTP for the permission settings and i use Frontpage to view the pages.

Its not enough to just give the Data folder permission 777. Give each of the individual files inside that folder a CHMOD of 777 as well. See if that helps.

Is there a specific version i should run.

Even though it shouldn't technically matter, try running 5.1.2 and see how it works. Else you can email me your ftp login info to webmaster@digioz.com and I will be happy to take a look at it and troubleshoot more closely.
