Image Verification

I have tried to get the verification to work but have had no success, the image will not display. Having read through the forum posts I can't find anything to explain it except that the GD Library version may be too low. The info back from the server is as below....

GD Support enabled
GD Version 1.6.2 or higher
FreeType Support enabled
FreeType Linkage with freetype
T1Lib Support enabled
JPG Support enabled
PNG Support enabled
WBMP Support enabled

Would appreciate confirmation of this, bearing in mind I'm a newbie at this.

The only problem that I see with the server specs is that your GD version needs to be 2.0.x or higher for the image verification to work. You may be able to request your server admin to upgrade this for you by recompiling php with the latest GD library.

Alternatively you could rewrite the image verification to work with either 1.6.2 or with some other system like imagemagic, but that would be a lot more work.
