Hi,

I recently downloaded your guestbook to give it a try since my current guestbook has been spammed constantly. Anyway, I have been testing your guestbook and I seem to have a problem that is just annoying. If I go to enter an entry and I enter the image verification code correctly, I get the error that the code was entered wrong. I try again and get the same error. So I go ahead and exit out of internet explorer and try again. Still the same problem. Is there anything that can be corrected or am I doing something wrong?

By the way, the version I am testing is 1.7

I would change the background images for the image verification to something easier to read. You can find those in the images directory, "back1.jpg" to "back5.jpg".

We are planning on changing those background images for the next release (others have had the same problem). Just make sure to keep the dimensions of the background images the same and it should solve your problem.

The problem is not the background image. I already changed that to something easier to read. The problem is that the script is not recognizing the code when its entered correctly. It's asking to re-enter the code.

Sounds like it may be related to your session settings. What's the link to your guestbook?

Unfortunately I don't have the script running on a server that is accessible from the internet. I mainly test scripts that I plan on using on my site on my local intranet server. Is there anything I should be checking?

Update: I think I found what the problem was. There is a section in config.php that requires a domain and ip to be entered. I never changed this. After doing so, the image verification is working as it should.

* Are there plans for the next release to be able to edit the ban list, bad words and spam keywords from the admin screen?
* And also a way to edit the guestbook entries?

Yes (to both your questions). Both of those are planned for the next release. Glad you found the problem. I guess I assumed that you had that already set up. :)
