Yeah, I believe that function does replace the blank spaces. The original thinking there was that the spam detect function should detect both "soma" and "s o m a". So we need to do some more work on that function for version 1.8.

You can remove that replace call for now to get by the problem.

Thar was precisely how I rationalised it and I thought that I could remove that line or quote it out.
